Get Answers. Gain Understanding. Move Forward.

Comprehensive Psychological Assessments Led by a Northwestern-Trained Clinical Psychologist and Dedicated Clinical Team.

Sometimes the hardest part of a mental health journey is not knowing exactly what is going on. Difficulty concentrating, managing emotions, navigating relationships, or keeping up with everyday responsibilities can leave you wondering why things feel harder than they should.

At Thrive Therapy Services, we provide comprehensive psychological assessments to help children, adolescents, and adults better understand their emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and psychological functioning.

Our assessments are led by a Northwestern-trained Clinical Psychologist who works collaboratively with a dedicated clinical team. We take an individualized approach to help identify potential challenges, clarify diagnoses when appropriate, recognize individual strengths, and provide recommendations that guide meaningful next steps.

What Can Psychological Testing Help Identify?

Psychological assessments can provide valuable insight into a variety of concerns, including:

  • ADHD: Attention, focus, impulsivity, executive functioning, and difficulties with organization.
  • Anxiety and Depression: Emotional symptoms, mood concerns, and their impact on daily functioning.
  • Cognitive Functioning: Memory, processing, attention, and intellectual abilities.
  • Psychological and Emotional Functioning: Mood, behavior, emotional regulation, and overall mental health.
  • Diagnostic Clarification: Exploring symptoms, identifying possible diagnoses, and better understanding challenges that may be affecting everyday life.

Why Consider a Psychological Assessment?

Sometimes symptoms overlap, making it difficult to understand what is really happening. Psychological testing can help connect the dots.

An assessment may help you:

  • Better understand your strengths and challenges.
  • Identify conditions that may be contributing to difficulties at home, school, work, or in relationships.
  • Obtain diagnostic clarity when appropriate.
  • Make more informed decisions about therapy and treatment.
  • Receive individualized recommendations and identify helpful resources and support.
  • Develop a clearer path forward for yourself or your child.

More Than a Diagnosis. A Better Understanding of You.

Psychological testing isn't just about identifying a diagnosis. It's about understanding the whole person.

Assessments can help uncover individual strengths, identify areas of difficulty, and provide insight into how someone thinks, learns, processes information, and experiences the world.

With a better understanding comes the opportunity to make more informed decisions about treatment, support, and strategies for everyday life.

What to Expect During the Assessment Process

Our assessment process is individualized based on the concerns and needs of each person. Depending on the evaluation, the process may include:

  1. Initial Clinical Interview: Discussing concerns, symptoms, history, and reasons for seeking an assessment.
  2. Psychological Testing: Completing standardized tests, assessment tools, and questionnaires appropriate to the evaluation.
  3. Evaluation and Interpretation: Reviewing and interpreting results to develop a comprehensive understanding of the findings.
  4. Feedback and Recommendations: Discussing results, diagnostic impressions when appropriate, and personalized recommendations for treatment, therapy, or additional support.

Our goal is to provide more than test results. We want you to leave with a better understanding of the findings and practical guidance about what comes next.

Insurance & Payment Options

We accept insurance when psychological testing is an authorized and covered benefit under your individual insurance plan. Self-pay options are also available.

Assessment fees vary depending on the type, complexity, and scope of testing needed.
